LG unveiled its new LG Nexus 5 in November, 2013 whereas Samsung introduced its Samsung Galaxy A50 in May, 2019. LG colorized its LG Nexus 5 with black and white colors, on the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A50 impressed us with prism crush black, prism crush white, prism crush green and prism crush violet2 colors. While purchasing a mobile, people often cannot ignore the price bracket which is a deciding factor, LG priced its phone at Rs.49,000 but Samsung put a price tag of Rs.48,999, however, these phones can be said to fall within the same price bracket because there is a difference of Rs.1 in the price.

Build & Screen:

Brands always try to bring special design and new look to their phones. Similarly, LG Nexus 5 is weighted at about 130 g (4.59 oz), on the contrary, Samsung Galaxy A50 has been measured at 169 g . and having True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors screen which is a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors screen.

Camera & Memory:

Coming towards the most considerable feature, the camera, LG put 8 MP cam at the back of LG Nexus 5 and has no front camera whereas Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with 48 MP rear camera and 32 MP selfie cam letting the users to digitalize their moments. To redress the concern of low storage space, LG Nexus 5 offers stroage capacity up to 16/32 GB but one cannot extend the memory of this phone by using a memory card, on the other side, and Samsung Galaxy A50 has also 0 internal memory but does not have any memory card option.

OS, UI & Hardware:

Talking about OS of these phones, LG Nexus 5 comes with Android [v4.4 (KitKat)] at its backend which is run by Quad-core 2.3 GHz: Krait 400 CPU and is powered by 2 GB RAM as compare to Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU which is helped by 4GB/6GB RAM to run Android (Android 9.0 (Pie)) of Samsung Galaxy A50.

Connectivity:

In order to provide batter connectivity Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with 3G , 4G connectivity. It is worth-mentioning here that LG Nexus 5 does not have dual SIM option whereas Samsung Galaxy A50 is a dual SIM phone. To maintain connectivity, camera and big screen, LG Nexus 5 is equipped with a non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery where the former has a non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery.

Conclusion:

In the end, there is a lot to consider while choosing between the LG Nexus 5 and the Samsung Galaxy A50. Ultimately, it is up to your own personal preference whether you want LG Nexus 5 or your requirements are fullfilled by Samsung Galaxy A50 . These are both good phones according to price bracket and specification, and you cannot go decidedly wrong with either device.
